Water Awareness Campaign

Water Awareness Campaign Organized by Karunalaya Social Welfare Foundation: Villagers Informed About Clean Drinking Water

With the objective of raising awareness among villagers in various villages of the Merta region regarding clean drinking water, water conservation, and water quality, the Karunalaya Social Welfare Foundation organized a series of awareness meetings and campaigns. A large number of villagers—including women, men, and youth—participated in the program.

During the campaign, expert Yatendra Agarwal conducted a live demonstration of the water sampling process specific to the Merta region. Villagers were shown how water samples are collected and tested for quality, and they were also provided with information regarding diseases caused by contaminated water. During this session, people were made to understand just how essential clean and safe water is for maintaining good health.

The program also featured a demonstration of the working mechanism of the water filters currently being utilized by the organization. The expert explained the process of purifying water using these filters to the villagers, emphasizing that safe drinking water can be made available even in villages through the application of modern technologies. The villagers asked several questions regarding the filters, all of which were answered in detail.

Throughout the campaign, special emphasis was placed on water conservation, sanitation, and community participation. People were encouraged to prevent water wastage, adopt rainwater harvesting practices, and keep water sources clean. Speakers highlighted that, in order to avert a future water crisis, every individual must become aware and fulfil their responsibilities.

Participating actively in the program, the villagers gained a deeper understanding of the importance of water conservation and clean drinking water, and they requested that such awareness programs be organized on a regular basis in the future. Poonam Singh, Director of the Karunalaya Social Welfare Foundation, along with the organization's representatives, stated that the foundation would continue its efforts to reach out to villages across the region to engage people in initiatives related to clean water and health awareness.
